29 Jun 2020 - Online via Zoom Webinar
Important - this is a series of 3 webinars each running for 90 minutes on the 29th June, 30th June and 1st July.
Run by the Institute of Economic Development Executive Director, Nigel Wilcock.
This is an introduction to the development of business cases for the public sector – and how to avoid the five cases model kicking the enthusiasm out of proposed projects. The course will consider:
• The strategic outline case
• The outline business case
• The full business case
The course will consider the level of detail required in each case and the proportionality of the case versus the size of the public sector contribution.
The course will then use real examples to work through the requirements of:
• The Strategic Case
• The Economic Case
• The Commercial Case
• The Financial Case
• The Management Case
The course will also consider how project alternatives are worked through and also how the economic outputs are calculated.
This course (normally a full day face to face) will be delivered over 3 separate online sessions, taking place on:
29th June 2.00-3.30pm
30th June 2.00-3.30pm
1st July 2.00-3.30pm
There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.
Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.
