IED Online Conference: Understanding Building Back Better 25th - 26th May 2021

The Institute of Economic Development recently hosted an important Conference as the Covid-19 pandemic reaches its next stage in the UK. As the UK finishes its roadmap out of lockdown we explored what Building Back Better actually means. Is this just a phrase that has caught media attention or can rebuilding change our past economic approaches and result in lower carbon, greater social value, investment in skills and more effective economic delivery mechanisms.

We discussed these themes over our online one-day conference that spanned an afternoon and then continued the following morning.
