25 May 2021 - Online via Zoom
The Institute of Economic Development is hosting an important Conference as the Covid-19 pandemic reaches its next stage in the UK. As the UK finishes its roadmap out of lockdown we explore what Building Back Better actually means. Is this just a phrase that has caught media attention or can rebuilding change our past economic approaches and result in lower carbon, greater social value, investment in skills and more effective economic delivery mechanisms.
We will discuss these themes over our online one-day conference that spans an afternoon, an opportunity for an evening networking session and then continues the following morning.
Day 1, 25th May: 1.15pm - 6pm (with the last hour being an informal networking session)
Day 2, 26th May: 9am - 1pm.
We are working to finalise the agenda, including speakers and we will share this with you very soon. We are delighted that the new Patron of the IED, The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, will be giving a key note speech during the conference.
Early Bird Rates (until 21st April): IED Member £29, Non IED Member £69
Standard Rates (after 21st April): IED Member £49, Non IED Member £89

When you purchase a ticket, you will have the option to pay immediately by card, or you can request an invoice to be sent to you (and will be given instructions on how to contact us with specific invoice requirements). All payment need to be processed by May 25th.
Nearer to the date of the event (and once all payments have been processed) someone from the IED will be in touch with you with the two Zoom links to access the event. There will be a Zoom link for Day 1 and another for Day 2. You will need to enter a passcode (which we will provide). It is a condition of sale that you agree to not pass on access links to anyone else. This will be monitored and anyone attending the event who has not already purchased a ticket will be removed.< Back
