25 May 2021 - Online via Zoom
The Institute of Economic Development recently hosted an important Conference as the Covid-19 pandemic reaches its next stage in the UK. As the UK finishes its roadmap out of lockdown we explored what Building Back Better actually means. Is this just a phrase that has caught media attention or can rebuilding change our past economic approaches and result in lower carbon, greater social value, investment in skills and more effective economic delivery mechanisms.
We discussed these themes over our online one-day conference that spanned an afternoon and then continued the following morning.
See the full programme – including keynote speakers Lord Jim O’Neill (Northern Powerhouse Partnership), Bridget Rosewell (National Infrastructure Commission), Miatta Fahnbulleh (New Economics Foundation), Jessica Studdert (New Local), Geoff Tily (TUC) and Mark Hepworth (The Good Economy) - here.
You can now purchase a recording of the conference at the rates of IED Member £29 and Non IED Member £69. Please not that there are no VAT charges to add on. To find out more about getting access to the recordings please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.< Back
