IED CPD Online: The role of community led development in economic regeneration

Important - this webinar will run over 3 separate sessions, each running for 90 minutes on the 4th, 5th and 6th July 2023.

The IED has pulled together a CPD session to look at the role of Community led development within the context of economic regeneration. The module will explore so of the fundamentals to community development such as co-design, how communities are defined and meaningful approaches to engagement. The course will also explore the wider dimensions of community led development such s why it’s important from a social innovation perspective and how it can lead to longer-lasting impact and transform communities.

This course will be run by IED board directors, Dr Jo Leek and Lorna Young.

Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.

For those of you completing the Certificate in Economic Development, this is one of the modules in that programme. When you book your ticket, please choose "Certificate in Economic Development rate".

The webinar sessions will be on:

  • 4th July 2.00-3.30pm
  • 5th July 2.00-3.30pm
  • 6th July 2.00-3.30pm

There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.

Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom or MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

The inclusive price for this session 3 x 90 minute webinars) is £50 for IED members and £100 for non IED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

We will send you a link to each webinar in the days running up to the first session.

We need a minimum of 10 delegates to run this course. If minimum numbers are not met, this course will not run and you will receive a full refund.

Remember, the IED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged – 20 hours – needs to consist of formal CPD activity.
