Course Overview:
This course introduces you to common financial concepts and language used by investors when making investment decisions. It develops your confidence to ask great financial questions, enabling you to better support your region to match solutions and incentives to attract and retain businesses to your region.
Aim of the course:
By the end of this course you will have an improved understanding of corporate finance terminology and methodologies, including:
Participants should have a basic understanding of how their economic development team supports inwards investment and local businesses whether directly or working with a LEP. Some understanding of how businesses raise finance is beneficial.
This course will be delivered over 3 separate online sessions, taking place on:
6 December 2.00-3.30pm
7 December 2.00-3.30pm
8 December 2.00-3.30pm
The inclusive price (for 3 x 90 minute sessions) is £50 for IED members and £100 for non IED members. There is a minimum number of delegates needed to run this course, if we do not meet this number, we will need to cancel the course and you will be issued with a full refund.
Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.
