Economics for evaluation - short course 29 November

 

Nottingham Trent University are running a short course on Economics for evaluation on 29th November (9.30am to 4pm), which is IED accredited, meaning any IED members attending this course can claim CPD points from attending.

About

There are growing demands for public and third sector organisations to demonstrate the economic impacts associated with their activity. This course is aimed at non-specialists who need a functional understanding of key economic concepts and data in order to confidentially deal with the practicalities involved in economic impact evaluation.

Who is the course for?

Local Government officers, private and third sector workers who are asked to undertake economic assessments, evaluations and bid for funding.

What will I get out the course?

You will improve your understanding of the following:

Fundamental requirements of economic impact evaluation
Role that evaluation can play in policy or programme development
Range of techniques and data sources appropriate to economic impact evaluation
Practicalities involved in undertaking or managing an economic impact evaluation
