IED launches online CPD: Understanding and supporting business
There’s no better time than now to understand how to reach and engage businesses more effectively.
About this Event
Important - this is a series of 3 webinars each running for 90 minutes on the 10th, 17th and 24th June.
Run by the Institute of Economic Development Chair, Bev Hurley.
The Institute of Economic Development has a toolkit for organisations to work through to help achieve our professional standard, Excellence in Economic Development.
Module 6 is all about Understanding and supporting business, including social enterprises. Now more than ever before, economic development professionals are going to have to reach and support business in order to stimulate local recovery, but small businesses - the lifeblood of local economies - can be challenging to engage.
This series of webinars will run through all the key concepts and practicalities of the competencies needed to enable effective business support. Once the 3 webinars are complete it will enable economic development practitioners to complete Module 6 of our toolkit, identify any gaps and apply to receive the Excellence in Economic Development standard for that module.
We are offering this series of 3 webinars at a special half price introductory rate of £45 for IED members (for all 3 webinars) and £70 for non IED members, given this is the first time we have run this training module and in this format.
The webinars will be on:
10th June 2.00-3.30pm
17th June 10.30am-12.00pm
24th June 2.30-4.00pm
There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request for a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.
Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.
Please check that your organisation/device is Zoom enabled before purchasing your ticket.
Once you have registered, we will send you a link to the first Zoom webinar on 10th June as well as the subsequent webinars on the 17th and 24th June.
