20 Sep 2023 - Online
Important - this webinar will run over 2 separate sessions, each running for 60 minutes on the20th September and the 4th October 2023.
The IED has developed a 2-part CPD session which will explore the role of skills analysis to help organisations unpick economic development needs in an area. The modules will introduce skills concepts and how this links through to productivity within the national, regional, and local economy.
The modules will explore different ways to measure skills demand and investigate how skills taxonomies can be accessed and used to better understand skills in a fast-evolving UK labour market. The sessions will help participants to unpick skills mismatches, identify growing areas of skills need and explore skills gaps and shortages. We will also be looking at how skills demand measures can be used to influence skills supply from further and higher education.
This course will be run by Will Cookson who is a Director at Lightcast, a global leader in labour market analytics.
Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.
