IED CPD Online: How to write successful funding bids

Important - this is a series of 3 webinars each running for 90 minutes on the 15 - 18 May 2023.

Run by the Institute of Economic Development Executive Director, Nigel Wilcock.

The IED has pulled together a CPD session to look at the key requirements of successful funding bids and how cases can be presented. The course seeks to maximise the chance of success for applicants but also identify where cases are unlikely to be successful and resources can be deployed elsewhere. The course considers some of the differences between current funding programmes but is essentially intended as a general approach to bid writing. The course will be delivered on line and in a participative style where delegates can hear the experiences and thoughts of others as well as working through the content of the course.

Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.

For those of you completing the Advanced Certificate in Economic Development, this is one of the modules in that programme. When you book your ticket, please choose "Advanced Certificate in Economic Development rate".

The webinar sessions will be on:

• 15th May 2.00-3.30pm
• 17th May 12.00-1.30pm
• 18th May 2.00-3.30pm

There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.

Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom or MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

The inclusive price for this session 3 x 90 minute webinars) is £50 for IED members and £100 for non IED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

We will send you a link to each webinar in the days running up to the first session.

We need a minimum of 10 delegates to run this course. If minimum numbers are not met, this course will not run and you will receive a full refund.

Remember, the IED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged – 20 hours – needs to consist of formal CPD activity.
