Important - this is a series of 3 webinars each running for 90 minutes on the 28th February, 1st March and 3rd March 2023.
This course will be run by Dr. Rosa M. Fernandez Martin, Associate Professor in Global Sustainable Development at the University of Warwick. An economist by training, her areas of expertise relate to environmental and energy economics and policies, carbon literacy, corporate social responsibility and green finance.
The course will cover the following:
Clean growth: Meaning and pathways for the UK
o Policy: Net Zero Strategy (and latest changes)
o Technology: Hydrogen as the latest ‘saviour’
Opportunities and challenges (for the national and local levels)
o Green finance
o Skills gap
Examples of best practices (in and out of the UK)
o Public-private partnerships
o Community engagement in energy generation
Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.

There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.
Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom or MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.
The inclusive price for this session 3 x 90 minute webinars) is £50 for IED members and £100 for non IED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

We will send you a link to each webinar in the days running up to the first session.
We need a minimum of 10 delegates to run this course. If minimum numbers are not met, this course will not run and you will receive a full refund.
Remember, the IED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged – 20 hours – needs to consist of formal CPD activity.
