Local areas need more viable start-up business, to support the sustainability and success of existing businesses, and to find and accelerate the potential of high growth companies. Of the ~5.5m UK SMEs (99.9% of all our businesses), less than 95% progress to employ more than 9 people, and around 90% are sole traders and micro businesses.
This series of three modules, led by past IED Chair Bev Hurley CBE, Chief Executive of YTKO and double Queen’s Award winner, looks at what drives tangible impact at each of those three stages of the business lifecycle.
Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.
For those of you completing the Certificate in Economic Development, this is one of the modules in that programme. When you book your ticket, please choose "Certificate in Economic Development rate".
