APPG on Economic Development

The IED is delighted to act as Secretariat for the APPG. Reports arising from meetings of the APPG together with experts’ presentations and photographs can be accessed on the right.

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Economic Development was launched on 11th March by the following MPs:

IED members are warmly invited to participate in the work of the APPG and to attend its working sessions. If you would like to attend any of the upcoming meetings, please email APPG@ied.co.uk at least three weeks in advance of the scheduled date. All meetings are held in the Houses of Parliament and take place between 5-6.30pm. The format of the meetings are presentations from selected expert speakers, followed by a discussion/Q&A session.

21 January 2020 - Addressing the Productivity Gap

To kickstart our series of sessions on Productivity we are delighted that Professor Philip McCann will be speaking. An expert on Productivity and regional imbalances, Professor McCann holds the Chair in Urban and Regional Economics in Sheffield University Management School, and is also the Tagliaferri Research Fellow in the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge.
