New iED Award category announced and deadline extended

New iED Award category announced and deadline extended

We are delighted to announce a new category in our Annual Awards. This is for International Project of the Year.  Proudly sponsored by Oury Clark, this award will celebrate economic development projects delivered outside the UK, or through international collaboration, which have demonstrated excellence in supporting sustainable economic growth, innovation and prosperity, while delivering measurable impacts for businesses, communities or places.

To allow for summer annual leave, we have extended the deadline for you to get entries in for this category, and indeed all categories – which will now close at the end of August.

A few reasons why it’s worth taking the time:

  • The entry process is straightforward and designed to be accessible rather than overly burdensome.
  • Finalists and winners receive valuable publicity and profile-raising opportunities, helping showcase good practice and achievements to the wider economic development community.
  • You do not need to attend the Awards Dinner to enter or win. While the awards will be presented at the iED Annual Conference and Awards Dinner on 18 November, attendance is not a requirement for entry.
  • Both self-nominations and nominations of others are welcome.

This is a great opportunity to shine a light on the brilliant work happening across economic development and recognise the people and projects making a real difference.
