iED CPD Online: An introduction to Regeneration

Important – this webinar will run over 2 separate sessions, each running for 90 minutes on the 22nd and 23rd April.

This training session will provide an overview of factors of importance in regeneration projects, specifically for an economic development professional.

Course details are still TBC but will cover issues such as:

  • Regeneration strategy development
  • Prioritisation of projects
  • Aspects of Statutory Planning system affecting regeneration
  • Development appraisals and the viability of regeneration projects
  • Different uses and values, different occupiers, lease lengths and covenant strengths
  • Private sector funding structures and expectations โ€“ developers, funders and contractors
  • Public sector funding for regeneration schemes
  • The impact of different public sector influenced structures and agencies (UDCs, URCs, SPVs)
  • Final thoughts on examples and success factors

This course will be run by Nigel Wilcock, Executive Director of the iED.

Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.

For those of you completing the Certificate in Economic Development, this is one of the modules in that programme.

There is an expectation that delegates will attend both webinars. If you are unable to attend both, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend both.

Please note that the webinars will be conducted via MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

The inclusive price for this session 2 x 90 minute webinars) is ยฃ75 for iED members and ยฃ145 for non iED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

We will send you a link to each webinar in the days running up to the first session.

We need a minimum of 10 delegates to run this course. If minimum numbers are not met, this course will not run and you will receive a full refund.

Remember, the iED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged โ€“ 20 hours โ€“ needs to consist of formal CPD activity.
