iED CPD Online: An introduction to housing for an economic development professional

Important – this webinar will run over 2 separate sessions, each running for 90 minutes on the 9th and 16th June 2026.

This course will be run by iED organisational member, LSH.

This webinar will cover the following:
The housing crisis and the planning system
The role of urban economics in planning for housing and housing need
Housing delivery

Attendance is open to both iED members and non iED members.
The webinar sessions will be on:

9th June 1-2.30pm
16th June 1-2.30pm

There is an expectation that delegates will attend both webinars. If you are unable to attend both, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend both.
Please note that the webinars will be conducted via MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

The inclusive price for this session (2x 60 minute webinars) is ยฃ75 for iED members and ยฃ145 for non iED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

If you are undertaking this module as part of the Certificate in Economic Development, you don’t need to book on via Eventbrite as all details will be sent to you separately by debbiedavidson@ied.co.uk.

We need a minimum of 10 delegates to run this course. If minimum numbers are not met, this course will not run and you will receive a full refund.

Remember, the iED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged โ€“ 20 hours โ€“ needs to consist of formal CPD activity.
