Lucie is a Director at socio-economic consultancy Volterra. She is a highly experienced economist who specialises in economic planning and strategy on behalf of developers and investors, government agencies, sub-regional partnerships and local authorities, leading projects across Volterra’s key business areas.
Whilst Volterra now benefits from iED organisation member status, Lucie herself has been an individual member much longer, including whilst in previous roles with Lichfields, New Skills Consulting and Newcastle City Council. Lucie is an active member of the economic development community and has participated in various iED events over the years, sharing insight and topical research at the annual iED conference and delivering focused training courses for members.
โThe economics of planning and development has been at the heart of Volterra’s consultancy offer for over 25 years, and is a growing area of the business,โ she explained. โHolding iED corporate membership gives us a way to differentiate and showcase our economics offer to the market. Practically, being able to use the iED corporate membership logo provides a kitemark of professional knowledge and expertise for our economic development skills and services, and has proven extremely beneficial over the years. As an economist, it is also helpful to be able to promote my individual membership and use MiED after my own name.โ
