IED CPD Online: Driving economic growth through better business support

16 Apr 2024 - Online via Zoom

Important - this webinar will run over 3 separate sessions, each running for 90 minutes on the 16th April, 23rd April and 30th April 2024.

Driving economic growth through better business support

Now more than ever before, economic development professionals are going to have to reach and support entrepreneurs and business in order to stimulate survival, recovery and future growth. Local areas need more viable start-up business, to support the sustainability and success of existing businesses, and to find and accelerate the potential of high growth companies.

This series of three modules, led by past IED Chair Bev Hurley CBE, Chief Executive of YTKO and double Queen’s Award winner, looks at what drives tangible impact at each of those three stages of the business lifecycle.

Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.

The webinar sessions will be on:

  • 16th April 11.30am - 1.00pm
  • 23rd April 11.30am - 1.00pm
  • 30th April 11.30am - 1.00pm

There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. If you are unable to attend all 3, you can request a recording of the missed webinar, but there will be no discount should you not be able to attend all 3.

Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom or MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

The inclusive price for this session (3 x 90 minute webinars) is £65 for IED members and £130 for non IED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

To book onto this course please visit our Eventbrite page here.

If you are undertaking this module as part of the Certificate in Economic Development, you don't need to book on via Eventbrite as all details will be sent to you separately by debbiedavidson@ied.co.uk.

Please note, if you are not yet an IED member, why not consider joining to take advantage of the member rate for this and future CPD events? Get in touch with us at admin@ied.co.uk for further info.

We will send you a link to each webinar in the days running up to the first session.

We need a minimum of 10 delegates to run this course. If minimum numbers are not met, this course will not run and you will receive a full refund.

Remember, the IED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged – 20 hours – needs to consist of formal CPD activity.

Please note that we are happy to provide this course or other CPD courses directly to your organisation - for now, these will all be delivered online. Please get in touch with us for more details.
