IED CPD Online: Clean Growth

Important - this is a series of 3 webinars each running for 90 minutes on the 4th, 6th and 7th March 2024.

This course will be run by Dr. Rosa M. Fernandez Martin, Senior Lecturer in Economics and Finance and KBS Sustainability Lead & PGR Lead at Keele University. An economist by training, her areas of expertise relate to environmental and energy economics and policies, carbon literacy, corporate social responsibility and green finance.

T he course will cover the following:

  • Clean growth: Meaning and pathways for the UK
  • Policy: Net Zero Strategy (and latest changes)
  • Technology: Hydrogen as the latest ‘saviour’
  • Opportunities and challenges (for the national and local levels)
  • Green finance
  • Skills gap
  • Examples of best practices (in and out of the UK)
  • Public-private partnerships
  • Community engagement in energy generation

Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.

F or those of you completing the Advanced Certificate in Economic Development, this is one of the modules in that programme.

The webinar sessions will be on:

  • 4th March 10-11.30am
  • 6th March 10-11.30am
  • 7th March 10-11.30am

There is an expectation that delegates will attend all 3 webinars. Please note that the webinars will be conducted via Zoom or MS Teams and you will be able to ask live questions via the chat during the course of the sessions.

The inclusive price for this session 3 x 90 minute webinars) is £65 for IED members and £130 for non IED members. No VAT is chargeable. Pay by invoice is possible.

We will send you a link to each webinar in the days running up to the first session.

Remember, the IED requires ALL associate and full members to log at least 40 hours of CPD over a two year period. Half of all CPD logged – 20 hours – needs to consist of formal CPD activity.
