James Corden, Economic Development Planning Manager – National Highways

My role as Economic Development Planning Manager involves developing a key evidence base to support the economic narrative behind the strategic road network and National Highways. Our network supports the economy on a national level, providing links to international gateways, supports road reliant sectors and plays a key role in plan making and development. I joined the IED network to connect with other members involved in the industry and to support and further my learning and understanding of economic development. I see the role of economic development as a key pillar in ensuring that the UK continues to grow, provide jobs and attractive places to live for its residents.
