Recent Projects

AtkinsRéalis has served as the lead socioeconomic consultant to Essex County Council since 2022, delivering a range of economic development services to support the £100 million+ Economic Renewal Investment Fund.

As part of this initiative, AtkinsRéalis developed a business case to justify interventions aimed at fostering green skills development across Essex. The firm also explored opportunities for better utilisation of an 8-hectare council-owned site in Harlow, identifying strategies to maximise its economic potential.

Additionally, AtkinsRéalis supported the creation of Essex’s sector development strategy by analysing the demand for laboratory space to strengthen the region’s Life Sciences industry. This work enabled the council to better understand sector needs and plan for suitable lab infrastructure.
