Recent Projects

AMION is a leading economics consultancy that works across all regions and nations of the United Kingdom, specialising in economic development and regeneration. AMION is the only firm to have been a member of Homes England’s Strategic Research and Economic Analysis Framework – and predecessors – since its inception in 2000.

AMION has helped to produce several economics guidance notes that have become “industry standards”. These include the ground-breaking Employment Densities Guide – applied across the country – to calculate job capacity within built development. There is also the pioneering Additionality Guide, which is used around the world to help public sector agencies to identify the real effect of government intervention. More recently, AMION has been working with Homes England and MHCLG on a major research project to investigate placemaking impacts of housing interventions using econometric modelling techniques – which forms part of the MHCLG Appraisal Guide.
