Suzanne Malcolm is an experienced local government professional with over 21 years’ experience working in development and regeneration related roles across the UK.
Suzanne is Head of Development and Regeneration at South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils. She manages a wide-ranging shared team across the two councils leading major projects that have a significant corporate and political involvement.
As part of the Councils’ strategic management team, she has responsibility for economic development, property, infrastructure and housing development.
Suzanne has extensive experience in economic development having worked in economic development related roles in local authorities across the UK for the last 21 years. She started her career in Scotland working for a number of local authorities including Argyll and Bute Council, Midlothian and City of Edinburgh Council, before moving south to Oxford City Council and subsequently to South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils as Economic Development Manager.
She is passionate about the difference the public sector came make in terms of economic development through working in partnership with the private sector. She has been a member of the IED throughout her career and has a postgraduate degree in Local Economic Development.
