Acting Deputy Chief Executive – Place | South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils
Suzanne Malcolm is an experienced local government professional with over 24 years’ experience working in place shaping roles across the UK.
Suzanne is Acting Deputy Chief Executive – Place at South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District Council. She is leading the place shaping agenda, including planning, housing and environment and development and regeneration, across the two councils.
Suzanne has extensive experience in economic development having worked in economic development related roles in local authorities across the UK for the last 21 years. She started her career in Scotland working for a number of local authorities including Argyll and Bute Council, Midlothian and City of Edinburgh Council, before moving south to Oxford City Council and subsequently to South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils.
She is passionate about the difference the public sector came make in terms of economic development through working in partnership with the private sector. She has been a member of the IED throughout her career and has a postgraduate masters degree in Local Economic Development.
