Currently, Paul is the lead Business Specialist working on Policy enhancement for inward investors and live project support for UK Trade and Investment. Paul supports all 51 markets served by UK Trade & Investment across all industry sectors.
In this role Paul advises on all aspects of the UK finance landscape and delivers commercial capability to UKTI‘s Global Network and clients to secure new international investment for the UK and lead to economic stimulus to grow and diversify the UK economy.
Paul Webster was appointed as a UK Trade and Investment Business Specialist in 2013 applying his career from both private and public sectors. Prior to his appointment Paul was Director, Australia and NZ for UKTI Inward Investment.
Over his time with UKTI Paul has supported over 300 companies to choose, enter and expand their operations in the UK.
Paul began his career in banking and held various senior management roles in a broad range of areas including commercial banking, corporate finance, credit management, corporate treasury, group risk and insurance, M&A and group strategy.
Paul is a member of Institute of Economic Development, Institute of Directors and ICAEW.
Paul obtained his Chartered Accountancy in Australia and holds the Oxford Advanced Management & Leadership Program (2009), WHU European MBA Summer Institute (2004), UWA Advanced MBA in International Management (2004).
