IED CPD Online: Levelling Up in practice

We are developing a new course, run by IED Executive Director, Nigel Wilcock giving an in-depth look at the Levelling Up White Paper for economic development practitioners.

The course will be delivered online over the course of 2 days, for 1.5 hours each day (12.30-2pm on the 25 and 26 April 2022). 

The Levelling Up agenda has become the most important aspect of economic development activity in 2022, February saw the publication of the White Paper and the prospectus for the next round of the Levelling Up Fund has been published for bids in July. 

This two-session course focuses on how the Levelling Up agenda fits within the wider activities of economic development in terms of policies, organisational delivery and funding. The sessions will then go through the practical contents of the White Paper, what this means for practitioners and how we expect Levelling Up to evolve in the next 1-2 years. Finally, the session will also look at the key requirements of the Levelling Up Fund with lessons learned from previous applications.’

Attendance is open to both IED members and non IED members.  The inclusive price for this session (2 x 1.5 hour sessions) is £50 for IED members and £100 for non IED members. No VAT is chargeable.
